I am running RedHat Linux 7.1, kernel version 2.4.3-12 on i686.
I have a scsi hard-drive, but the cdrom is ide (the only thing on the
chain - and it is the master).
I have this problem with cdparanoia 9.7, and get the same thing with 9.8.
When I try to run cdparanoia, it gets to 99% (or so) of a track and
then the progress hits rock bottom. If I have enough patience it will
finish, but it takes several minutes whereas 0-99% took ~1 minute.
I tried running it with the -o flag at different values (1, 10, 50) to no
effect.
Thanks,
Kip
