[paranoia] Annoying blank noise

Hello,
I am trying to use cdparanoia to rip cd-rom.
I do it under windows and it is working perfectly.
I tried with cdparanoia and the quality of the .wav generated is not good.
There is a kind of blank noise when I listen to the file.
I try to change my audio software. I used X11amp instead of Xplayer, but it was
the same thing. So I think the problem is coming from cdparanoia.
I join a copy of the output of cdparanoia.
It recognize perfectly the cd and everything looks OK. The only thing is that
the resulting wav has this background noise that isn t there when I use the cd
player.
Does anyone have an idea of how to suppress this noise ?
I couldn t find anything in the FAQ, so I hope to be luckier in the mailing
list.
Thank you
