cdparanoia 9.7 is now available for download on the website in source and
binary form. It fixes a bunch of bugs and adds several minor features that
folks will find useful.

1) minor fixups in the manpage and help output

2) repaired a few (but large) memory leaks that affected applications making
use of the paranoia library interface

3) fixed an auto-scan lockup caused by opening devices too many times
4) -X will now abort ripping any track if a skip/scratch occurs. A partial
file
   will be deleted.

5) added total audio length of the disc to the TOC report

6) *The slide bug is dead!* Verification will no longer drift in silence.
-B is now safe. The progress bar will no longer report phantom jitter.
Verifictation speed and reliability across track edges should be much
   improved.

7) added buffered writing patch for those using filesystems in which small
   writes are overly expensive

8) added -t and -T to deal with drives (mostly Toshibas) that report the TOC
properly, but then think 'sector zero' is always the start of track one.
-T should cure that, but -t is provided to allow the user to provide an
   offset manually.

9) lengthened the time for a SCSI timeout

Enjoy.
