Actually there is nothing wrong with the encoder. I discovered that it was due to the fact that the java encoder only supports encoding using 2 channels. So I created a java program that records using two channels and everything was encoded fine. The noisy encoding was due to trimming of channles on wav files that had more than 2 channels<br>
