Hi there

Relay is the answer! Have not tried this but makes logically sense.

Best regards

On Thu, Jul 12, 2018 at 3:59 PM, ScanCaster <scancaster@scancaster.net> wrote:

I have a situation where it would be desirable to provide a mount/stream,
but in a rather unique fashion.

We will call the feed Radio.

My source would encode via DarkIce/EZStream etc. and send to my IceCast
server.

It would appear on mount <server>/Radio

This would have options for this mount..

Now the unique part... I'd like to have Radio-Special

Where Radio-Special has DIFFERENT options for the mount than Radio.

BUT

I'd like to NOT SEND the SAME AUDIO to the server TWICE! Ie setup darkice
to feed Radio and Radio-2. Wasting bandwidth a 32K * x adds up. Even
reducing bitrate * x still adds up. Really don't want to have to encode
twice for this.

Also don't want to streamripper this and then remount it. I do this for
archiving at times, and it has it own foibles to be annoying and fragile.

Is it possible to do this in icecast.xml some what I am not seeing?
Relay??

Thanks.
