[Icecast] error with connecting ffmpeg source

Hi all, wondering about everyone's thoughts on this intermittent problem
I'm getting running ffmpeg source trying to connect to my Icecast server
version 2.4.99 beta3.  What happens is sometimes it connects fine and my
log look like this:

logging in at mountpoint "/mystream.mp3" using "PUT" from 127.0.0.1 as role

/mystream.mp3 now 0

other times (which appear random to me) it fails and I get this log:

This is a BUG.

Any ideas how to approach this?
