Robert, very simple and powerful to process audio and send it to the
Icecast2 server at the same time, *avconv*. Also you must keep in mind
that processing live audio consumes many resources of CPU.
Maybe you should compile avconv with aac+ support enabled ??
I suppose all this is similar with *ffmpeg*.
