[Icecast] Current Song: utf-8

I would rather not specify the names of mount points as I use different and random mount names specified at the encoder. So there is no global method to specify utf-8. I thought I read that was the default character encoding for Icecast.

My app is sending utf-8 encoded metadata via the /admin URL interface but
the Icecast web page displays it as ascii.
Please have a look at the docs, http://icecast.org/docs/icecast-2.4.1/config-file.html#mountsettings
There is the mount specific charset option, which you can to use to specify the encoding for the
legacy metadata.
Playing the stream in Winamp correctly displays Chinese characters.
Is this not supported?
