As far as I know you would need the Icecast 2.5 beta to get advanced metadata in the stats xml or json output.
Note that even with the 2.5 beta this is only possible if the format you are using supports this. MP3 or AAC do not, it only works with Ogg or WebM/MKV afaik.

Btw, it would be great if you do not reply to digest mails but to the individual email so you do not break the thread structure. You can do so with most (good) mail clients by browsing the ML archive and on the mail you want to reply to click on the E-Mail address next to the senders name. (This should open your mail client and reply to the list address with correct subject and in-reply-to header, even though the link text is the senders email, which is a bit confusing)
