[Icecast] Regarding edcast with icecast2.4

Am I correct that Butt only supports encoding 1 stream?  Unlikely Edcast
which supports multiple streams at different bitrates or codecs.

slightly OT, but you could also consider to use butt: 
http://butt.sourceforge.net/
i like(d) edcast, but it seems rather dead in terms of development.
