There are plenty of players that will work on Windows and OSX.
Please refer to e.g. the Icecast webpage.
In your specific case playback using Firefox should work too.
HTML5 and <audio> being the keywords.

the ones inside /dev/snd since there is not /dev/dsp nor /dev/dsa.
Mi xml ices files <input> part is:

<module>oss</module>

That's an OSS example file you are using, please use the ALSA example file
