I'm not certain, there's no sound output device on the client machine.  
DSP is set to null output.

I have identified the problem.

It is caused by the crossfade plugin in Foobar2000.  When it tries to 
crossfade two MP3's of different bit rates it uses the bit rate of the 
file that is fading out, regardless of the bit rate of the file that is 
fading in.
