There are known bugs in previous versions (including 2.3.1) that would
allow very easy (low bandwidth) denial of service attacks against an
icecast server.

Backporting the fixes for those would certainly be a good idea, but
hunting down the exact changesets would be a fair bit of work, and may
well not apply to 2.3.1 anyway.
