But now , only works if I use ffmpeg2theora. I try with one of the latest svn version and one that I consider " stable" because is ok for all my needs , and they don't work. This is the complete shell output ffmpeg -i /home/pierpaolo/Scrivania/31.mpg -vcodec libtheora -acodec libvorbis -ab 128k -b 1000k -f ogg - | oggfwd localhost 8000 123456 /ffmpeg.ogg FFmpeg version SVN-rUNKNOWN, Copyright (c) 2000-2008 Fabrice Bellard, et al. configuration: --prefix=/usr --enable-shared --enable-libmp3lame --enable-gpl --enable-libfaad --enable-libvorbis --enable-pthreads --enable-libfaac --enable-libxvid --enable-libgsm --enable-libx264 --enable-liba52 --enable-libtheora --enable-vhook --enable-mmx --enable-libogg --enable-x11grab --enable-pp libavutil version: 49.5.0 libavcodec version: 51.45.0 libavformat version: 51.14.0 built on Nov 8 2008 16:53:09, gcc: 4.2.4 (Ubuntu 4.2.4-1ubuntu3) Input #0, mpeg, from '/home/pierpaolo/Scrivania/31.mpg': Duration: 00:09:03.0, start: 0.500000, bitrate: 1751 kb/s Stream #0.0[0x1e0]: Video: mpeg2video, yuv420p, 720x576, 9000 kb/s, 25.00 fps(r) Stream #0.1[0x1c0]: Audio: mp2, 48000 Hz, stereo, 192 kb/s Output #0, ogg, to 'pipe:': Stream #0.0: Video: libtheora, yuv420p, 720x576, q=2-31, 1000 kb/s, 25.00 fps(c) Stream #0.1: Audio: libvorbis, 48000 Hz, stereo, 128 kb/s Stream mapping: Stream #0.0 -> #0.0 Stream #0.1 -> #0.1 Press [q] to stop encoding oggfwd: Connected to server warning: This doesn't look like a Speex file I installed libtheora and libvorbis , normal and develop version , via apt-get on my ubuntu linux 8.0.4 How I can fix this problems? I need some help. I am a spiritual healer/teacher who is interested in promoting world peace. For more information on what I am all about you can visit my website at http://www.peacethroughlove.com/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=72&Itemid=58 One of the ways for me to promote world peace is through online guided meditations in real time. Is there anyone who can install the software on my dedicated server so that I do these meditations in real time. Love and light. What operating system does your dedicated server run? 2. Do you have software for streaming to your server or will you need this installed also? 3. If you do need streaming software installed on your PC (see 2 above), will you be wanting to send audio only or video as well? 4. Can these installations be done remotely or are you looking for someone to physically show up and do it? 5. Are you looking to pay someone or are you looking for a volunteer? Geoff. Hello. ? Hopefully a simple question with a simple answer: ? Am I correct that in order to play static files (i.e. mp3s, ogg audio, theora video) with Icecast 2 that I do not need an encoder (i.e. ezstream, ices)? ? I'm particularly interested in serving up theora video files, but the only experience I've had with Icecast is with an earlier version streaming audio, which worked great. ? Thanks in advance. ? ? -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed... That is correct. However, if you're not doing any live streaming, we strongly recommend using a standard web server (apache, etc.) rather than icecast - they're doing the same thing, but apache is better at it. I'd be interested in hearing from anyone who has already done this. 1. Googling suggests that Icecast can emulate Shoutcast's XML stats at admin.cgi?mode=viewxml. But I've been unable to work out the proper syntax or the way to specify the source. Short of reading the Icecast sources, can anyone shed any more light on this? 2. Related to 1, is it possible to alias requests for admin.cgi on say a specific port so that it redirects to the correct admin.cgi query? In other words, can I make Icecast return the correct info for a specific mount if I get what Shoutcast expects as a query on a specific port? 3. Has anyone roled an XSL transform to emulate Shoutcast's 7.html? I'm sure I can do it but I'm pushing a deadline and was wondering if someone had already done it (Google didn't turn up anything). Geoff.
