hallo, 

wenn ich den text richtig verstehe, benutzen sie derzeit shoutcast, als mieter 
oder vermieter? das ist mir nicht klar, auf jeden fall aber geht es um die 
lizenz. 

icecast kann frei und kostenlos eingesetzt werden, sowohl zum privaten, als 
auch zum kommerziellen gebraucht. icecast ist ein streaming-server, in etwa 
vergleichbar zu shoutcast. 
ein icecast server kann also jederzeit kostenfrei aufgesetzt und auch 
kommerziell ge- / vermietet werden. 

eine gute grundlegende anleitung ist dieses hier:

für weitergehende konfiguration ist es leider unerläßlich, die 
englischsprachige docu auf der webseite zu lesen, oder die sehr gut 
kommentierte konfigurationsdatei.
