Thanks so much for your help on this. However, I am afraid I will still need
professional help since I am not a system administrator. Yes, our icecast
Server runs on Linux.

don't know if windows support this, but for linux/unix users it should be
possible to authenticate via mac address in routed network using icecast url
authentication + eth over ip software bridge.
