strange processes are happening while trying to authenticate via url using (icecastauth-examle-1.0)
i'm using user "test" and password "test". I'm opening with winamp 5.1.
This user(test) exists in mysql database, and action.php suscessfuly extracts that user from database.

here's what I receive in icecast error log:
2006-01-29  15:32:30] INFO auth_url/url_add_client client auth ( failed with ""

and apache's httpd-error.log says:
[Sun Jan 29 15:32:30 2006] [error] [client] user not found: /auth/action.php
[Sun Jan 29 15:32:30 2006] [error] [client] user test not found: /auth/action.php

it is strange that "" (empty) user also seems try to authenticate.

below is the dump of tcp session:
GET /Test HTTP/1.0
User-Agent: WinampMPEG/5.1
Accept: */*
Authorization: Basic dGVzdDp0ZXN0
Connection: close

HTTP/1.0 401 Authentication Required
WWW-Authenticate: Basic realm="Icecast2 Server"

You need to authenticate

i've also tried testauth.php with action "listener_add"
here's it's dump:
POST /auth/action.php HTTP/1.1
Accept: image/gif, image/x-xbitmap, image/jpeg, image/pjpeg, application/x-shockwave-flash, application/x-icq, application/vnd.ms-excel, application/vnd.ms-powerpoint, application/msword, */*
Accept-Language: lt
Content-Type: application/x-www-form-urlencoded
Accept-Encoding: gzip, deflate
User-Agent: Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 6.0; Windows NT 5.1; .NET CLR 1.1.4322)
Content-Length: 89
Connection: Keep-Alive
Cache-Control: no-cache
Authorization: Basic YWRtaW46c3RybTA2

HTTP/1.0 200 OK
Date: Sun, 29 Jan 2006 11:49:12 GMT
Server: Apache
X-Powered-By: PHP/5.1.1
icecast-auth-user: 1
icecast-auth-message: OK
Content-Length: 11
Content-Type: text/html
X-Cache: MISS from server.telecom.lt
Connection: keep-alive

this session looks ok, but i don't understand how to start streaming after this procedure? testauth.php is just something like query parser?isn't it?

my icecast.xml portion:
<authentication type="url">
<option name="listener_add"    value=""/>
<option name="listener_remove" value=""/>
<option name="mount_add"       value=""/>
<option name="mount_remove"    value=""/>

the sympthoms are similar to;

any thoughts are welcome, thanks for replies
