There used to be a spec for the protocol used, somewhere on oddsock.org, 
but I don't know where it is these days.

For what it's worth, you can download the sources for the YP directory 
CGI script at http://svn.xiph.org/trunk/icecast2yp/

This code doesn't seem to include the frontend though (i.e. the user 
interface).
