There are many compelling reasons to want to use a different protocol for 
streaming media, rather than just http. This sort of "security" argument is 
definately NOT such a reason - it's a red herring at best. 

For entirely different reasons, an RTSP implementation in icecast would be a 
Very Good Thing, but it's an extremely large task. I don't think anyone has 
tried yet.
