He,
you can administrate the server by telnet!
You have to know your admin Password (icecast.conf).
Open a telnet connection to your Server IP:Port
Type in (what u type is not visible on screen):
ADMIN [YOURPASSWORD]
and press Enter TWO TIMES.
Then there should be a
->
Line.
Now type in
oper [PASSWORD]
and Enter one time. Now you can administrate the server. Type "help" or
"set" to see
more functions what you can do now, but i suggest to do main changings
directly in the
config file!

Subject: [icecast] Administrating the list
<p>Hi there.
I really searched google and the help (btw: Quite - incomplete help on
the website, I'd say. Nothing about the webinterface, list.cgi was
something I found in one of the posts here and not on my system nor in
the help), but I still don't know how I'm supposed to administrate the
server remotely.
Are there any clients expecially for that? Would telnet suffice? Can I
get information on the protocol then?
Please help
Ben
