The vast majority are 128 kbps, non-VBR. I have a few VBR, and a few that
are encoded at 320 kbps. I've yet to try to stream one of those.

A good number have id3v2 tags... say 20-30%.

RH 7.2 with kernel 2.4.9-21. glibc is 2.2.4.
