I'd take a look at the following projects:

1) otto (http://www.cardhouse.com/otto/) -- uses ices as a streamer,
albeit in a "hacky" fasion.
2) globecom juxebox (http://www.globecom.net/jukebox/) -- perhaps
overkill feature set.

personally, I use otto for home and work. it has its limitations (as do
all of these types of progs).
