Well, that's certainly unfortunate for those who used this.

The Icecast core team have our plate full with items that we want to
have as part of our upcoming 2.5 release. So as Marvin pointed out we
currently have no plans for this.

*IF* there is someone who wants to take the lead on this topic and see
*IF* there is a way to get an Radionomy (shoutcast owners) approved
solution. I'd recommend to continue this discussion on the
icecast-dev at xiph.org mailing list. I am somewhat skeptical, based on how
they handled this situation (e.g. nobody contacted us) and the previous
track record of denying Icecast listings for many years. I took a brief
look at their Wiki and it looks somewhat incomplete regarding listing
submission. It only talks about generating "AuthKeys".

Proactive communication with all parties involved is the most likely way
to lead to a resolution.
