[Icecast-dev] Source Authentication URL and Params

After hours of searching the net, I can't seem to find information on
exactly what happens during the authentication handshake between a source
client and the icecast server. (Before it starts sending audio.)

What headers, parameters, etc does the source client need to send to the
server, and what should the client expect in return?
