technically, it didn't move, the directory still resides at dir.xiph.org, I
just created a different front end to it (PHP instead of a python).

any type of individual station status retrieving like what you describe
should not go against the YP..that is what the icecast status pages are
for...all the information available in the YP is available from the icecast
server itself. We have both limited CPU and bandwidth at Xiph, so we
unfortunately cannot offer services like these.

I have a working forum that I am still experimenting with...it is a custom
modification to phpBB and a set of mail filters to bridge the gap between
the mailing list and something like a forum...Coming Soon is about all I
can say at this point..
