Thank you for organizing FOMS!
My name is Eric Tang and I work at Livepeer <http://livepeer.org>. We are
working on a video live streaming network, and as a part of it, recently
started a Go implementation of RFC6972
<https://datatracker.ietf.org/wg/ppsp/documents/> (PPSP). I want to open
up the github repo it as soon as it's ready for 0.0.1 (hopefully in the
next few months).
We recently presented at Consensus 2017, Token Summit, and the Swarm Summit
in Berlin (they were all blockchain conferences, since there is an
incentive component to our network). We'd love to be involved with FOMS,
especially would love to talk about peer-to-peer video live streaming.
p.s. - I feel like recent blockchain ICOs have tarnished the term... We are
a bunch of open source developers, all wanting to see peer-to-peer online
video to exist!

> I'm happy to announce FOMS 2017 for the 3rd-5th October 2017.
> It will take place in San Francisco again, same location as last year, but
> we've extended it over 2 days to make it even more valuable to you.
> COMMUNITY DEVELOPERS
> We'd particularly like to encourage open source media software developers
> to participate to gain further breadth in topics over the two days of this
> year's conference.
> We have a number of travel sponsorships available for them.
> Please invite such developers and get them to email me so we can get their
> trip organised.
> PARTNERSHIP WITH DEMUXED
> As in previous years, DEMUXED is taking place at adjacent times to FOMS.
> If you hurry, you can still get your paper submitted, see the extended

> Subject: Demuxed talk proposal deadline extended to Sunday
> Hi Silvia,
> Good news! We've gotten dozens of great video technology talk submissions
> for Demuxed 2017, but we've decided to give folks that haven't submitted
> yet the weekend to have a last chance to submit. Submissions will now close
> at 11:59 PM on *Sunday, July 2nd*. We are accepting talk proposals from 3
> to 45 minutes long. As a reminder, this year's conference will be held on
> October 5, 2017.
> Submit a Talk
> Not sure what to submit? You don't need to write a novel in the submission
> form, just give us the selection committee enough to get excited about.
> Anything that could be interesting to your colleagues working with video is
> fair game. We would love to be so overloaded with talks that we can turn
> this into a 2-day conference.
> Thanks for your support!
> The Demuxed Team
> *PS*: If you're in the Bay Area, come to the SF Vid Tech meetup tonight!
> Matt Ward will be taking us on a journey into peering, networking, and
> basically everything related to getting bits from one place to another via
> our favorite series of tubes. RSVP here
> Thank you to our 2017 Sponsors:
