I like the SF idea. 8-)

If helpful, we'd be more than happy to host it here, in SF, free, I think, as we do open-oriented 30-500 person conferences relatively regularly.
Also gives a nice opportunity to get a tour of our nonprofit and combined work/terabyte-storage-system digital library space/mission.
(We have converted a Christian Scientist church into an interesting space, replete with a "Great Room" that has stage, A/V system and seating
 for 400 or more.)
 
I'm sure there are plenty of other great options out there, too, but figured I'd throw us in as a suggestion.
