yes, i built 1.1.2

autoconf/configure doesn't seem to figure out that it's there.

for a report on this breaking on FreeBSD, too.  I don't know
for sure but the poster then said that AC_CHECK_TYPES didn't
look in sys/socket.h for whatever reason.
