the ./test_libFLAC.sh should stop immediately at the error,
but 'make check' should continue on with the other tests and at
the end tell you '1 out of 4 tests failed' or something like
that.

as to the error you got, that will probably require a little
bit of debugging.  I can't see just from looking at the sources
why that would happen.
