Summary: seg fault when change the playing FLAC file; FLAC
plugin Product: XMMS
Version: 1.2.5
Platform: PC
OS/Version: Linux
Status: NEW
Severity: critical
Priority: Normal
Component: unspecified
AssignedTo: bugs at xmms.org
ReportedBy: jan.suhr at freenet.de
From Bugzilla Helper:
I reproduced this seg fault with xmms 1.2.4 and 1.2.5. I used FLAC
(http://flac.sourceforge.net) plugin to play FLAC files.
I add a few files to the playlist. xmms plays the 1. file well. When I
change to play the next file often it works. But there is no change to
play the 3. file! Then XMMS freezed with:
"Segmentation fault"
I tried FLAC 1.0 and 1.0.1 and there was no difference. XMMS works with
mp3 files very well. Also I tried to change the buffer size with no
effect.
Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1. start xmms with the flac plugin.
2. add a few flac files to the playlist
3. start playing and press the "next song" button to play the 2. song
4. press the "next song" button to play the 3. song. seg fault!
Actual Results: xmms freezes with "Segmentation fault".
Expected Results: play the next song
