Subtitle Script Development

There has been recent developments to develop python scripts to handle a variety of subtitle formats. More information can be found in the Annodex wikipage:

Formats developed for parsing into CMML include:
AQTitle, JACOSub, MicroDVD, MPSub, Phoenix Japanimation Society, RealText Format, SubRip, SubStation Alpha (SSA/ASS) Format, SubViewer, Synchronised Accessible Media Interchange (SAMI), Universal Subtitle Format, VOBSub and VPlayer Format.

Scripts are considered to be at alpha stage of development. Future work to develop the scripts further include parsing CSS code for SAMI, and parsing the text formatting for subtitle formats which support such a feature. If you encounter unexpected output when parsing subtitles, place a message in the relevant wikipage for the subtitle format.

Note that the older subtitle formats (JACOSub, PJS) have had limited testing as the original subtitle scripts are harder to find.
